Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of socio-economic factors on ESL learning. A quantitative research design was adopted to measure how these factors influence second language acquisition. The population comprised secondary school students in District Kotli, AJK, and a random sampling technique was used to select 200 participants. The researchers personally visited the selected schools and conducted face-to-face interactions with the participants for data collection. The collected data was analyzed using the latest version of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and presented numerically through tables and figures. The results indicated a positive association between teachers’ encouraging attitudes and learners’ communication skills. Supportive classroom behavior enhanced students’ fluency and confidence, whereas negative attitudes hindered progress. The findings suggest that a motivating and positive classroom environment significantly contributes to the development of ESL speaking skills.
